Hi, I'm Mike, a lighting designer based in the Denver metro area. Welcome to my online portfolio.

I grew up in Menlo Park, California, then moved to Colorado to study mechanical engineering at CU Boulder. Over the years I have become infatuated with live music and event production. In my senior year at CU, I joined a production internship at Z2 Entertainment in Boulder, CO, where I learned the industry fundamentals and developed my skills as a stage hand, then I dove into the world of lighting.

After becoming proficient in programming, operating, and lighting tech, Z2 offered me a position on their team, where have continued learning, practicing, and expanding my skill set. I am eternally grateful for everything the Z2 staff has taught me.​

Beyond my role at Z2, I am also a freelance lighting designer and tech. I have worked with Another Backline Company LLC, Third Rail Productions, and Centermass Productions, giving me the opportunity to program and operate on events like Global Dance Festival 2024, Portal at El Jebel, featuring East Forest and Wesley Shultz of The Lumineers, and many more.​​

I created this website to showcase my work, expand my network within the event production industry, and push my skill set as a lighting designer to new levels.
